Your Legal Rights Under The Consumer Contracts Regulations & Consumer Rights Act 2015
Please note that this returns policy does not affect your statutory rights. As a UK consumer, you have a legal right to a refund if an item is faulty, not as described, or not fit for purpose. This right extends for up to 30 days from receipt.
1. Returns for Change of Mind
For returns where the item is not faulty, the following policy applies:
* Return Window: You have 14 calendar days from the day you receive the goods to notify us of your wish to return an item for a refund.
* Return Condition: To be eligible for a refund, the item must be unworn, unused, and in its original condition. This includes all tags being attached and the item being in its original, undamaged packaging.
* Hygiene & Inspection: For the protection of all customers, we carefully inspect all returns. We cannot accept returns for items that show signs of wear, have marks (e.g., from makeup or deodorant), or carry any odours (e.g., perfume, smoke). In such cases, the item will be sent back to you at your cost.
2. How to Initiate a Return
1. Contact Us: Within the 14-day period, please email us at info@malikaat.com with your order number and details of the item you wish to return.
2. Ship Your Item: Please send your item(s) to the following address using a tracked postal service:

* Include a note with your name, order number inside the package.
* You are responsible for the cost of return postage and for the item until it reaches us. We recommend tracked and insured services for items valued over £75.
3. Refunds
* Inspection & Processing: Once we receive and inspect your return, we will email you to confirm its status. If approved, your refund will be processed to your original payment method.
* Timeline: Refunds typically appear in your account within 3-5 working days of our approval.
* Deductions: The original cost of standard outbound delivery is non-refundable for change-of-mind returns.
4. Exchanges
We are happy to offer an exchange for your item.
* Eligibility: To be eligible, the item must be unworn, unused, and in its original condition with all tags attached and in its original packaging.
* Hygiene & Inspection: We cannot accept exchanges for items that show signs of wear, have marks (e.g., from makeup or deodorant), or carry any odours (e.g., perfume, smoke). In such cases, the item will be sent back to you at your cost.
* How to Request: Please email us at info@malikaat.com with your name, order number, and specify the item you wish to exchange from and the item you wish to exchange to. We will provide a returns authorisation and the exchange will be dispatched once we receive and approve your returned item.
* Postage: You are responsible for the cost of return postage for the original item. We will cover the cost of standard delivery for sending the exchanged item to you.
5. Faulty, Damaged, or Incorrect Items
If you receive an item that is faulty, damaged, or not what you ordered, please contact us immediately at info@malikaat.com with your order number and photos of the issue. We will cover the cost of return postage and arrange a full refund or replacement as appropriate.
6. Gift Returns
If the item was a gift:
* The refund will be issued in the form of a gift certificate to the original recipient.
* If the purchase was shipped directly to you, the gift certificate will be emailed to you upon receipt of the return.
* If the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves first, the refund will be processed back to the original purchaser.
7. Non-Returnable Items
The following items cannot be returned unless faulty: personalised, made-to-order items and pre-order.
